Complaints Procedure

I am committed to providing therapy in a safe, professional, compassionate and ethical manner. As an accredited CBT therapist and EMDR therapist, I adhere to the professional standards and ethical guidelines set out by the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies and EMDR Association UK.

Concerns About Therapy

If you have concerns about any aspect of therapy, I encourage you to raise them with me directly wherever possible so that we can try to resolve matters informally and collaboratively.

If concerns cannot be resolved informally, you may contact the relevant professional body for further guidance regarding their formal complaints procedure.

Data Protection Complaints

I take the privacy and security of your personal information seriously and process personal data in accordance with applicable UK data protection legislation.

If you have concerns about how your personal information has been collected, stored, used, shared or otherwise processed, you have the right to make a data protection complaint directly to me. Complaints can be submitted using the contact details provided on this website.

Data protection complaints will be acknowledged within 30 days of receipt and investigated without undue delay. I will keep you informed of progress where appropriate and provide a response once the investigation has been completed.

If you remain dissatisfied after your complaint has been considered, you have the right to raise your concerns with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).

Further information regarding confidentiality, safeguarding, data protection and therapy agreements are provided in writing as part of the Therapy Agreement and Contract and is discussed during the assessment process.
